Bosco and Yasmin, both in their early twenties, arrive in London with nothing but a few belongings and the weight of a homeland left behind. Bosco, quiet and determined, once dreamed of a future in Hong Kong before the unrest shattered his sense of belonging. Yasmin, outspoken and restless, carries her own scars but refuses to be silenced.
Their meeting in a city that feels both hostile and full of possibility sparks an unexpected bond. What begins as solidarity between strangers soon deepens into romance. Yet love is complicated in exile: they face asylum interviews, hostile bureaucracy, cultural dislocation, and the gnawing ache of separation from family.
Directed by Don Ng in his debut feature, No Time for Goodbye is a tender, unflinching drama about displacement, resilience, and the fragile hope that blossoms between those who have lost everything. Told with intimacy and urgency, it shines a light on the human cost of exile and the courage it takes to begin again.
